Propane Posted October 11, 2003 Posted October 11, 2003 Well - I have a slight bone to pick with windows. What is this so called System Idle Process. It is set to idle priority yet no other apps have preidence over it (I have been waiting around 15min. for winamp to load <_< ). Well if anyone knows what this is or how to get rid of it it would be greatly appricated.

Propane Posted October 11, 2003 Posted October 11, 2003 Jebus - I am still waiting. I have now waited so long that I have changed my theme AND changed my background. I might find something else not processor intensive to do

LobbDogg Posted October 11, 2003 Posted October 11, 2003 The System Idle process is just a process that always keeps a process in the CPU, usually though it is supposed to have low priority, so that once you want to do something it is kicked out of the running state.
