P.S Alot of people have been asking so maybe this should be a sticky has alot of calcs, guides, and other software for stress test and benchmarks.

Now that helps a lot and saved quite some time to me.

 

I'd recomend using the online calculator (no need to install a simple program that might be buggy or malicious on your PC)

You should add this Short Media - Overclocking on the A64 s754/939 Platform to your list of guides.

 

A very good read for beginners and a nice refresh for advanced clockers. Simple, well done read, covering many points. Lemon-Lime did an excellent job on this article.

Personally, I don't see how its useful at all (good golly multiplication is HARD ), and we already have links to necesary software for overclocking in the overclocking guide itself. If people actually take the time to read it, they'll see the links clear as day. If they don't read it, then they shouldn't try to overclock anyways.

 

If anything the ones not already on it would be added to this list.

I agree it's not tht hard, but do you understand that I dont want people sending me PMs asking for that Calc I used, I just got another PM and these links can help them. I think if it got added to that list or made into a sticky would help alot of people since all together i have gotten around 20 PMs asking for the OC Calc.

I really find it very hard to believe you recieved 20 pm's about this.. but thats not the point.. hehe.. I have added a link to this thread in the "Important Links" section of the overclocking guide..

This thread wont become a stickie because I feel that people should learn about overclocking and know how to do the calculations on their own first and then if they want to take the easy way they can.. But at least then they will have an understanding of what they are changing..

Well its definitely around 20 PMs, but yah thnx I'm just trying to help instead of having to reply back to each PM with the link, which while I made a thread I decided to add other guides and software for stress and benchmarking too. Just to help out as much as I can, and I believe in learning it before going the easy way with Calcs which is also why I added guides not only yours but others from other sites. Which I have read yours twice since I didnt really understand it the first time and I have looked over at it while OC'n several times. But yah thnx for adding it, again I'm just trying to help out.

lol yah, maybe if we made them more interesting and with more pics. I know I really liked the initial build guide with pics for installing my Ultra-D, wasnt hard but tht guide did help.
