I had a Dot Matrix Tandy 442 running on win98 course when I went to XP it doesn't want to print, it goes so slow like 2 words a min or less. Anyone know of a Dot Matrix printer that will work on XP with out any problems? Thanks

try windows compatability wizard...somtimes you can find a driver for another printer that will work, (may even be from a seperate manufacture). just have to do a lot of searching and get lucky.

Try other drivers exact same thing with every driver that I have tried. :(

Do you have BIdirectional support enabled in the bios?!??! If it's on turn it off, if it's off turn it on.

I don't know if your printer supports bidirect. If it does and it's not on in the bios this will slow it down becuase the driver can't talk to the printer.

If it doesn't support bidirect then set it to compatable in the bios and it should speed it up.

Hope that helps,

Rob
