Crossfire troubles

Recommended Posts

I have done everything I can think of to get Crossfire to work.

From changing boards to PS. Bios updates.

Not sure what the problem is.

in the ATi control panel I see both cards but never see the crossfire tab , I have Duel slots enalbed with both set to 8x.

Only thing I can think of is that the x1800 Crossfire ready card wont work with the x1900 Master card. Is this true?

Well this information would have been nice to know. This is the first I have heard of this. Even after contacting ATI directly they didnt specifiy that.

And yes I guess I need to sell the x1800 if it wont work, Really pisses me off.

yep, you'll need to match that X1900 Master card to an X1900XT card (thats your best bet anyway)

you should be able to get a good deal out of your 1800 to help get a 1900.

You tried to pair a X1900 with an X1800 ???

Im not sure but i think the manuals of both your cards must mention that you need to pair two identical cards ( Some even recommend the same brand. )

425$ is way too much considering you get to find the X1800XT 512 ram for 320-350$ ( PriceGrabber ).

I changed the price to 325. based it off what they were selling it at Ebay, didnt look at priecegrabber. anyway its changed.
