GF Duke Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 DFI Lan Party Expert. Bios version 11/17/05 I am engaged in a Bandwith type competition. Im running my GSkill 2x 512mb pc3200 utt's @ DDR540. 2-2-2-5-7-12 timings and cranking out some nice scores. Everest Memory Read Test. My question is can i trust that the voltage i apply in the bios actually true? Because according to the bios i'm at 3.78 VDIMM. Everyone says thats high. Though some say these rams need alot of voltage. Lower will not boot. Is there a spot where i can actually measure them on the Motherboard with my tester? if it's not all that acurate? And can someone point me there?

EdLSmith Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 The Measuring point is depicted on a few threads on here. Try searching. I could find it if I needed it and so can you. Try VDIMM.
GF Duke Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Thanks for the help. Hmm i never thought of using the search protocal. If i had i would have known that theres nothing about the EXPERT board and how to manually measure vdimm here. And i would have known that i would have gotten a stupid answer like use the search feature. So i wouldnt have posted the question. But i'm not that smart. Cyberparasite Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 please be aware with rev e cpus, vdimm/2 - 0.325v = min safe vcore make sure to protect your cpu by using enough vcore when running extremely high mem voltages.
