Problem with the windows boot.

Recommended Posts

Do you have the empty drives slots disabled in the BIOS? This is most likely a big stretch, but when I built a computer (Asus motherboard/Sempron 3100+) for my mother back in March (just before my new rig), it took a long time on boot-up. It turned out that the computer was hunting for drives everytime. It had to do with how one of the jumpers was set on the hard drive.

I know it this is a DFI board, but maybe the principles are the same?
