turok_t Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Hey guys, my specs are listed in my sig. Well, sometimes when i play games like Call of Duty 2, Condemned: Criminal Origins, or splinter cell, far cry my computer would give me a quick flash of the BSOD (it appears really quickly and then disappears and my computer restarts), or sometimes an error msg would pop up. Ive been battling this problem for over a year now. Do u guys have any suggestions? Here are some of the possible causes: a) PSU is too weak B) Lack of voltage to my CPU (I passed prime 95 though for 24hr+ using the "Tortue Test" so im not sure if that is the problem) c) Sometimes i realized that by putting a fan on my PWMIC, the error msg/BSOD would pop up later and not right away. (Temps on load are 54C). Any suggestions? Thanks, I greatly appreciate it.

One usually gets BSODs from RAM errors so you should try checking that. Use memtest and run several passes (>20) of tests #5 and #8. iamkoza Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 there is a way to change bsod's, so that the blue screen actually stays on the monitor long enough to write it down, sorry i cant remember how to config windows to do so, someone else will know, but need to know the error windows is giving ont he blue screen to help pinpoint it

Actually, i just bought a new OCZ GameXstream 700W so i hope it will fix the problem. Yes, the BSOD usually associated with memory issues, I totally agree. I ran # 5 and # 8 for 500+ loops each. I was stable at 2.5-3-3-7 @ 2.7V 1T... I ran those before, but still, i get errors/restarts/BSOD.. I know that the temps on my CPU and GPU aint a problem because they are at a max of 38C on load.
