4lt3zz4 Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 I can only run stabily at 2.64ghz, 11x240, with 1.56v core voltage. Is that voltage too high for the clock speed and should i lower the multiplier and possibly reach a higher clock? If I get to 2.78ghz but the computer locks up after a minute into the desktop. I also have problem recognizing the latency's at the memory menu, since there were far more than 4 of them and some of them were auto and preset. Please give me some advices or links to these problems, thanks!
tasr Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 The point is stability if you are not prime stable for a min of 8hr. How do you expect to keep your rig up and running? How long have run prime? Find your stable point a tweak it from there. I would personal not push CPU Vcore past 1.55v on air, Voltage=Heat=DEAD_CPU. Prime your rig for 8hr and post in the Overclocking Database. Good luck and hope to see your post.
Kandoo Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 what bios are you using, how do you know it's your cpu that is causing stability issues. did you follow the guide? did you find your max cpu and max ram, and if so what was it. show a list of your bios settings. How are we supposed to give you good info when you don't show your spec's!
