sofarfrome Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 I went thru the initial "finding CPU and mem maxes" and here is where I wound up: CPU = 2610 mhz @ 1.55vCore HTT = 290 LDT/FSB = 3x CPU/FSB = 9.0 vDimm = 2.77 DRAM freq: = 200 1:1 Timings = 2.5-4-3-7 1T (at 2.5-3-3-7 32M Pi fails in seconds) 13 16 3 3 2 3 3120 enable enable auto 0 auto auto auto normal auto 256 disable 16x 4x disable 4 Prime stable at 16 hours (load temp at 16hrs = 41degC) Sandra 2005 mem bandwidth: 6953/6881 CPU MMB: 24879/26833 AB dhry/whet: 11734/5294 If I go to 293HTT it fails prime in less than one minute increase vCore to 1.62 prime fails in 3 minutes (don't want to go higher) Loosening up the mem timings does not allow me to go higher on HTT 8.0 multi at 293HTT also does nothing Have I hit the proverbial wall? Any suggestions from the DFI pundits? TIA, J
Daddyjaxx Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Be happy, dude. You have a CPU rated for 2 GHz at 2.6.
tasr Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 Prime stable at 16 hours (load temp at 16hrs = 41degC) Nice work! 11/12 divider (180) maybe you can get stable with 293. tasr
sofarfrome Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 The memory went 300+ on memtest so I didn't think memory was the issue, but I will try the 180 11/12 divider. Thanks for the input.
Kandoo Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 I think your done dude! so kick back and enjoy your labor of love!!
sofarfrome Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 Tried the 11/12...no go...prime failed in 3 minutes. Thanks again... J
cedman Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 i think thats quite normal - my old P4C 2.8ghz was running primestable @3.5ghz, ram @250 1:1. but if wanted to get 3501mhz, prime failed after 5min at max, no matter what divider/fsb/voltage etc. i used... anyway you should be very happy with your results =)
Gunner{DnD} Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 I to was dissappointed but like someone said above 2.0 to 2.6 sit back and enjoy I only got 2.7 from my 3700+ San diego.....
Burky Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 A 2.6ghz clock is a fine clock for that cpu. I think the records go to like 2.8ghz with sensible voltage, but those guys got lucky with their stepping.
