keyboard and mouse problem

Recommended Posts

i have a logitech g15 keyboard and g7 mouse

when i turn on the computer and i want to go to the bios i have to hook up

a keyboard on the ps/2 connection.

because the g15 only works when windows is started

the same for the mouse, the problem with the g7 is it charges the bateries on the usb.

so it charges only when the computer is on

can anyone help me

for the rest its the best motherboard i have had :)

Which settings are you using for USB in the bios? Your G15 should work in DOS-MODE as well. So your G7 didn't come with a charging cradle? Is that the way the G7 charges, by USB usage? You sure about this....? Have you tried using differerent USB ports other then the ones you've used with these issues coming up?

g7 does not come with a craddle like the mx700

it comes with 2 bateries that have to be charged with the usb craddle that also hold the transmitter.

and yes the usb is enabled for both devices

the g15 also iluminates, and it does that when windows is started, then it gets power from the usb port

I know this might sound odd but I had the same problem, I disabled usb support on both mouse and keyboard in the bios (417) and now it works.

go figure..
