cypher007 Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 ok i can get to about 290mhz but much past that and the CFX3200 wont boot, or starts to boot with a corrupted graphics card logo. ive tried dropping the cpu multiplier to take that out of the equation, dropped the htt ratio to 4, upped the voltages on the north bridge, set the memory to 200mhz. any ideas/settings. sora3 Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 What voltages are you currently running for the CPU? Have you checked the PCI-e lock? What SATA channels are you running at? A little more info would be nice...
cypher007 Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 the cpu is running 1.5v. where is the pci-e lock? im not running the sata raid yet.
hawkeyefan Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 the cpu is running 1.5v. where is the pci-e lock? im not running the sata raid yet. there is no PCIE lock on NF4 boards....as long as you have all the "spread spectrum" settings disabled in bios (which they are by default). doesn't matter which Sata ports you use, etc.
cypher007 Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 my board is a CFX3200 ATI RD580.
Krikkit Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Surely the HT ratio should be set to 3 if you're having problems? 300*8 = 2400, 300*6 = 1800... Stock is 2000.

Voltes-5 Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 If you have followed the guide and found the cpu max by taking the ram out of the equation, well my friend thats where it will top out and it cant do anymore. You can try increasing the Vcore at a very slow increment till you have stability at 300, but make sure to keep an eye on your temps. I know you are running H20 but you still need to keep tab of the temps. If your cpu can run 290 x 9 @2610, try to lower the multi to an 8 with an htt equivalent to 2610, I think that would be about 325. It worked for me but I would have had to set a lower divider for my ram to run with the cpu.
