Guest Timmay Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I am looking at purchasing a 2GB G.Skill kit shortly, Basically what I use my computer for is mainly playing BF2 and browsing the web/mp3's and a little bit of video encoding. 1GB isn't enough at the moment for me so I need 2 The two kits I am looking at are: G.Skill F1-3200PHU2-2GBNS - In NZ$ it is $392.40 -OR- G.Skill F1-4000USU2-2GBHZ - In NZ$ it is $460.30 Whilst running my Opty at 3GHz my memory runs at 250HTT on a divider, So it would be perfect for the DDR500, but Would I really notice a difference, because I don't run applets like E-Cawk 06 ect, so I'm not too fussed about tight timings. I would prefer the cheaper kit, but if you can really really recommend it then I will go for the DDR500 kit, I would like a bit of leway with the kit because due to the 9multy I can't always hit 200HTT on a divider. THunDA Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 I would like a bit of leway with the kit because due to the 9multy I can't always hit 200HTT on a divider. This is one of the reasons why I would recommend for you to go with the pc4000. At least this way you know your guarranteed to get 250mhz.. IF you went with the pc3200 you can always using a lower divider IF it doesnt oc well but the pc4000 would be a better option and give you more flexibility with dividers..
