About a week ago I had a thread about buying a 7900GTX to replace my 7800GTs. Well I went for a 1900XTX 512mb instead, 650/1550 and the price was fairly good. It should be here in a few days hopefully.

I will also sell my 7800GTs for more than I am paying for this, so I am happy at moving from two cards to one card, getting a performance gain and making a few $$ while I'm at it.

So does anyone have this card, and more importantly, how does it overclock and do you like it?

they probably wont overclock all that much without water or a serious aftermarket cooler since they are already near their heat limits right out of the box, but a single X1900XT is super fantastic...an XTX is just a higher clocked version (but not much higher I don't think)

As Thunda how he feels about his...

I have a Power Color x1900xtx and its great !!

If you check out this overclocking database entry you'll get a little idea of what type of performance it delivers.. Now keep in mind that im using water cooling and im not afraid to crank up voltages..hehe.. The card is running 720/819..

As for overclocking on the stock cooler.. Well I think that most xtx's will reach around 690/800 which is the max that ATI's overdrive will allow you to clock.. Although to reach these speeds you will probably need to use ATI Tool to set the fan to run at 100%.. Its kinda loud but at 100% it will stay pretty cool..

But trust me the card is pretty dam fast even at stock speeds..

Wow, that's a good 3d mark05 score there. Thanks for the response.

I think I'm getting like 12500 right now, so it sounds like I'll get a slight drop, given my cpu runs 200mhz slower, and I won't have clocked the card so high, but it will be more future proof than what I have now, and I will be pleased to have less heat to deal with too.

I will report back when I get the card and see what it can do.
