Climbermonkey Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 So i have a random question.....being that most of us here have built our own pc's... how do you turn it off? Do you.... A) Start > Shutdown > Turn Off ...and leave? or B) Start > Shutdown > Turn Off > Then flick the switch in back that turns off your PSU to the pc? im bored..lol, inquiring minds want to know! lol myself, i find doing choice B
cuoficr Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 i actually have it set to shutdown when the power button is hit, so i push a button on my keyboard and walk away
ReMoose Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 i bypass the start - shut down routine and go straight to the psu switch.....j/k Who shuts their machine down? I leave mine up 24/7......
ICON57 Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 same here mostly on 24/7 but when i do shut down, i do it the Start > Shutdown > Turn Off ...and leave method...no hitting rocker switch on psu. being as i live in the lightning capitol of the world...florida...if i am away from home for extended time, i will unplug from the back of psu. red930 Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Very rarely do I shut any of my machine(s) off unless it is to test new hardware, tweak, etc.
red930 Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I don't believe in an off switch. It's like the energizer battery baby, it keeps going, going, and going.....
Nehil Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I only say "Start", "Turn off computer" and then "Shutdown". Using a voicerecognition software is so damn cool
