stable clock as far as tests, but....

Recommended Posts

I have run all the tests for my CPU and passed them without any problems. SuperPI, OCCT, PRIME95, and 3DMark05. My Memory was running at DDR200 so I decided to fix that and I have it running at DDR400 with the following settings:

FSB Freq - 260

LDT Freq - x2.5

CPU/FSB Freq - x11

PCI eXpress Freq - 100

CPU Voltage - 1.4v

LDT Voltage - 1.3v

ChipSet Volt - 1.6

DRAM Volt - 2.7

+0.03 if not 3.2v - enabled

Memclock - 200

1T/2T Timing CPC - Enabled

CAS - 3

TRCD - 3

TRAS - 3

TRP - 4

TRC - 7

TRFC - 16

TRRD - 3

TWR - 3

TWTR - 2

TRWT - 4

TREF - 3120cycles

DRAM Bank Interleave - Enabled

DQS Skew Control - Increase

DQS Skew Value - 0

DRAM drive Strngth - Level 5

DRAM data Drive Strngth - Level 2

Max Async Lat - 8ns

DRAM Resp. Time - Normal

Read Preamble Time - 6ns

IdleCycle Limit - 256

Dynamic Counter - Disable

R/W Queue Bypass - 16x

Bypass Max - 7x

32 Byte Granularity - Disable (4 Bursts)

These settings passed Memtest for 11 hours without any errors and gave me the best score yet on 3DMark 05, a 9440.

HOWEVER<<

Change your LDT multiplier to 4x = 1040.

Battlefield 2 is unbelievably sensitive to overclocking. What won't work in that game works for hours in others.

Maybe it's bad or lazy programmers. Whichever, it is what it is so you're gunna have to live with it.

Might be a GPU issue more than anything...

As an add one to my last post, .5 multipliers for both the CPU and LDT don't officially exist on the AMD A64 CPU. It is the motherboard that manipulated the memory controller on the processor, resulting in poorer performance than whole multipliers.

I got 3DMark05 to pass with an LDT multi of 4x with a 3-4-4-4 timing. After I passed I started up my BF2 game and tried Single player, just to see if the problem still occured and YEP its still not playing or loading right. It cant be a Graphics card problem because it works great on everything else and this problem didnt start happening until I tried to improve my DDR speed. Any other ideas on what I can do?

**RED indicates changes I've made. Why was this game running when I was at a DDR200 speed and not now?
