dab Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Read at SLI zone, recent updates you can mix and match cards of the same chipset; mix manufacturer and clock speeds. My Ugly PC Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Quick question. same core as all 7800GT, it's just OC'd from the factory, so would I just need to change bios settings for it to run same clocks as another 7800GT or would it matter? I've heard that they automatically run at the lower card's speeds by default, as always on forums its heresay. I can't find an official link but here is an example of someone doing it and having the cards run at the lower speed automatically.. http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/forums.asp?s=2&c=7&t=9794 [Last post in thread = a first hand account of this happening] So apperantly no extra work needed over a normal SLI, insofar as clock is concerned.
