Guest oRiOn Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 what does ASUS recommend for discs? Plextor recommends disc that use Phthalocyanine, like the Fujifilms made from Japan, not taiwan or china! -Will
InVeNtOr Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 i would have no idea, but isn't memorex a very good brand?
OverByter Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Are you using both drives at the same time? On the same channel?
red930 Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Memorex is a good brand, depending on what composition the media is along with which drive it is being used in. What is the model of media you are using in the drives? i would have no idea, but isn't memorex a very good brand?
dr_bowtie Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I havent had luck with Sony's running at there rated speed...Just make sure they are each on their own channel...If you are trying to read at write on the same channel that will slow it down big time.. InVeNtOr Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 okay, what do you mean same channel? i have 1 round cable going from the motherboard, to both drives. does that mean they are on the same channel? should i have 2 indenpendant round cables from the motherboard to each drive? ReMoose Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 have 1 cable to 2 drives means you have them both on the same channel. run 2 individual cable to the 2 drives and you should see an improvement in performance.
