Hey Guys,

Later this week, I'm gonna put together my new Rig:

DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR Expert

AMD Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego CPU

Swiftech MCX6400-V Heatsink

WD Raptor WD1500ADFD 150GB SATA

WD Raptor 740GD 74GB SATA

WD Caviar SE 2500KS 250GB SATAII

eVGA 256-P2-N564 Geforce 7900GT KO 256MB

4x 1024MB OCZ Performance PC3200 DDR (3-3-7-3)

Seasonic S-12 600 PSU

2x PLEXTOR PX-716SA/SW SATA DVD Burner

Auzentech HDA X-Plosion 7.1 DTS Connect Sound Card

Hauppauge WinTV PCI

SilverStone Temjin SST-TJ03 - Black Aluminum Case

LG1980Q 19" LCD Monitor

Logitech Z-5500 5.1 Digital Speakers

As the RAM slots may be a little close to the CPU socket for my Swiftech MCX6400-V Heatsink, I wanted to know what other people are using on their Expert mobo's?

Anybody out there put a Swifty MCX6400-V on their CPU for this board?

Thermaltake BigTyphoon ftw!

venice 0517apaw@ 1.556v@2700mhz= 21-22Cidle, 34-45C load

AS5 and the IHS is still on

also you might rethink the Seasonic...not always getting along with DFIs

I would grab the brand spankin new OCZ GameXStream 700w from here:

MonarchComputers

or for same exact price as the Seasonic, grab the 600w OCZ GameXStream from the same place...

hawkeyefan,

I have heard about the -5VSB boot issues with many PSU types on the Expert. I read in another thread where Angry Games stated emphatically that there were no "official" problems with Seasonic PSU's and DFI NF4 mobos. But, I am aware of the potential problems. Thanks for the remider just the same.

I didn't know about that new OCZ GameXStream 700w PSU. That looks sweet. Specs look good too. I had the Seasonic S-12 600 modded (UV Red Sleeved and UV Red Connectors @ FrozenCPU) so it cost me a few bucks. If I can't get it to play nice with the Expert, I'll consider the OCZ GameXStream 700.... along with the PC P&C Turbo Cool 510 SLI/ASL. Thanks for the heads up.
