dearpretender Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 izzit possible for the harddisk temperature to reach over 200c? i'm now using MBM 5.3.7.0. when i start my computer and after the program is loaded, the alarm sound with message that my WD1600JS's temperature is over 200c. i reach and touch it, well, it is slightly warm but i quickly shut down the computer. then i restart again, the same thing again. so i download another program "Hard Disk Sentinel", but unable to reach the temperature. so i decided...to ignore it tongue after a few minute, the temperature is 46c. izzit normal? p/s i got another harddisk WD800JD , 37c. soundx98 Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 I do not know if you are using the MBM5 configuration file posted here at DFI-street http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread...BM5+settings%2A but it would seem that is just a start up error since it returns to a normal value after a minute or two.
