Newb_ocer Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 Well my computer office is experiencing some poverty these past few days.. weeks or whatever. So far.. Monitor has broken *somehow* keyboard broken and now my 9600 256mb sapphire broke.. or so i believe when ever i turn on my computer it shows little rectancles of colour and all the colours are out of wack and it looks like i just taken shrooms or something. Does this mean i fried my 9600? cause i just bought it like err 2 weeks ago.

hardwarefreek Posted October 7, 2003 Posted October 7, 2003 IMHO I wouldn't buy NVidia just now, their DX9 support is laughable.
bigred Posted October 7, 2003 Posted October 7, 2003 you crazy boy? an FX.... buy a TI intead of an FX. and don't bother sending it back to where you bought it from. most places will tell you to go f yourself. try contacting the mfgr of the card. hardwarefreek Posted October 7, 2003 Posted October 7, 2003 Unfortunately there is a lesson here, overclocking invalidates any warranty and should be done with due care. next time O/C your card in 5Mhz increments until you see artifacts then back off 5-10mhz. Newb_ocer Posted October 7, 2003 Posted October 7, 2003 unfortunately they just gave me another <_< Good news is is that if it brakes again my dad is gunna get me a 9800 just what i've been waiting for my whole life o.O breaking this 9600 shouldnt be hard with its HORRID cooling device and it appears my ti4200 is kickn' . out of 9600 dx9 wise This store just deemed its memory defective.. maybe cause we have been buying stuff from them ever since i was born. so i get a new 9600 atlantis.
