square_one Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 (edited) I have a Asus Cusi-fx mobo, with an audio panel header on it. According the manuel it should be possible to have front audio connectors with the panel. I bought 2 jack con's and used two standard audio cables wich I had lying around for quite some time now. The Audio Header looks like this _____ | - - | | - - | | - - | | - - | | - - | ------ Line Out R---Line in R AGND3---AGND2 Line Out L---Line in L No Conn ---AGND1 MICPWR---MIC2 The headphone section is working fine, I connected 3 out of the 4 wires to the first jack con. And that did the trick. The mic section however does not. I tried both methods below wause I was afraid switching the Ground cable could harm my mobo. L/R/GND from jack to PWR/MIC2/AGND1 R/L/GND from jack to PWR/MIC2/AGND1 I Don't know what I have to do to make it work. Back audio works perfect so the only problem could be in the wiring (I pressume). If someone could help me out with this (stupid) problem. I would appreciate it very much. square_one Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 Well I'm back, I wasn't able to solve the problem (A BIG f#ck you to asus for showing an incorrect support address), but I did manage to have front audio. The headphone part was easy. but for the people who wan't to join my pain here's the solution. I used an audio cable to connect te jack to the header. I only had to switch the left channel 1 step Audio cable --> headphone cable [ L - NC - GND - R ] --> [ NC - L - GND - R ] So long the part that already worked fine. For the mic part I bought a stereo extension cable for
