Maniac Overclocker Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 what mother board is the best for overclocking?
cyberpc04 Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 I would say the Abit NF7-S V.2 Thats the board i've got with a 2500 barton. I just got it so i'm not gonna max it out right off the bat. I have it running at 2.2ghz from 1.8 with max load temp at 35c. Unlocks it for you and has the best voltage selection. Abit Nforce 2 boards have always been great overclockers for me. Had a 1600xp (1.4ghz) at 2ghz and then I sold that computer and bought my new one.

Psywar Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 the Epox will OC better, but the Abit is easier to use..
syneze Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 i wouldn't say the epox will OC better...if you're aiming for a high FSB I would definately go NF7.
FanATIc205 Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 nf7-s they see mto be the one if you want to run your mother board past220fsb the epox can do it to i just think its more common on the abit. im looking to get the nf7-s once i get rid of this asus a7n8x
Psywar Posted October 7, 2003 Posted October 7, 2003 Ive ran the Epox and my Abit, and the Epox Oced much better then my ABit did.. Â It runs more stable at higher FSB speeds..
syneze Posted October 7, 2003 Posted October 7, 2003 that was an isolated experience go to more extreme overclocking forums and you'll notice almost every AMD user uses an NF7-S
young-joseph Posted October 7, 2003 Posted October 7, 2003 What are some of those "more extreme" forums? Just curious, I love this forum but would love find some more and learn the most I can.
