O(V)eGA_l2el) Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 Look in your manual or the motherboard manufacturer's website. I think that board is capable of dual channel mode and yes you need two sticks of the same memory (same speed and preferrably, same manufacturer, for example: 2x256mb of Kingston PC3200)
storm Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 since i can't find anything about my board being dual channel capable, i think one stick is ok.
O(V)eGA_l2el) Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 But two sticks would be better
smithy Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 Could run with only one stick at single channel. Need two for dual-but really not much in performance difference unless you are doing a lot of gaming or video work.
