At $130 shipped, that sounds like a good price to me. I don't think your gonna find a much better deal unless you waiting to wait a couple of weeks for a coupon or an auction snipe.

I think so too and the he ships first part of the deal makes it even better. Im going for it!

:)

PS It didnt take much effort to convice me on this one

Luckly I get 21" monitors form my office to upgrade to flats. I have 3 atm in use. I know they go for 250-300 each new. Looking at the specs, you have a steal. Go for it. I love my CRT's. Even though they are about 80 pounds each.

2048x1536 @ 61Hz

1920x1440 @ 64Hz

1856x1392 @ 67Hz

1600x1200 @ 77Hz

I you really don't care about 16x12, then snap it up. I looked in my local Craigslist.org and found my Sony Trinitron Multiscan500PS (with 5 component BNC cable) for $100. It pulls 16x12 @ 85 Hz. It also pulls 1024x768 @ 120 Hz and puts it into a wide screen format :P That was a pleasant surprise. 1024x768 never looked better. However, if 16x12 @ 77 Hz is not a deal beaker, then snap it up !

Well, they have a bit of conflicting specs. The monitor can pull 2kx1.5x at 60Hz and advertise a bandwidth of 210MHz. So, at 2Mpixel (1600x1200), it *SHOULD* be able to go up to 100Hz refresh.

Most "typical" resolution that they advertised are limited to 75-85 refresh. Personnally, i need at least 100Hz to be happy. Your mileage may vary...

I would say to go for it. The bandwidth spec seems to say you'll be able to go higher.

Yeah but a gaming 21" LCD is gonna bit abit more than $130. :-)

Need to check the res and refresh thing though. I normally use 85hz since my monitor is not any better than that and at 1600 I need to use 75 which is not great but better than flickering 60hz.

I'm using the Nokia 445ZA 21"- it's the same internally as the viewsonic. and it works great. Got mine on ebay- $50, and about $60 to ship. Same price range within a few bucks. You'll be happy with it. I run mine 24/7 at 1280x1024 @ 85hz, both for desktop and games, and have had no problems at all. and picture quality is excellent.

Beats buying brand new! I give you a thumbs up! :)
