b0x1d Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Just out of curiosity guys, im wondering how many users on these forums are using a prometeia, a vapo or other sub zero cooled methods for 24-7 use. Please could those who are post their acheivements and stable clocks here ;D Myself, im using a chilly 1 extreme with my 3700+ @ 3003mhz 273x11 (with a cold bugged cpu) Thanks
Thorgal Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 I've been running an Ultra-D with X2 4400+ and OCZ VX on a Mach IIGT for about 4 months (september to december 2005) ; non stop 24/7 double f@h @ 100% so full cpu load. Highest stable clock was 285x11, but I was running it @ 275x11 for 24/7 use (3025 Mhz). CPU memory controller is/was also seriously cold bugged from 290FSB upwards. Now I'm back to watercooling because of noise
watsonte Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Yeah I had a Prometia Mach II GT for a couple of months over this past summer and was able to get my FX-55 up to 3.0 but a cold bug ruined that pretty quick, also noise and the hike in the electric bill resluted in me selling the thing. Also Prometia in America went out of business, unless there is a new distributor. Either way I am going to go with water eventually, cheaper easier and really a lot more fun if you like to DIY...
