p0tter Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 7900GT Ko Edition. 1.4 or 1.5ns memory? A Newegg reviewer mentions it and I just purchased one. Can anyone confirm this? I will once getting the card. Check out newegg, 289.00 is a smoking deal, last night I almost bought it at 315.00 and this morning its 289.00! eVGA.COM 7900GT KO description eVGA 7900GT KO @ $289.00 (5/4/06 - 10AM) $304.00 (5/4/06 - 2PM) Newegg's description (clocks) seem incorrect according to evga's description and its retail box. red930 Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Whichever rated memory it has it will probably hit 1650MHz with no problems. 1.4ns maybe....
p0tter Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Once I get the card how can I tell if the chips are 1.4 or 1.5ns
Guest YuKoN Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 I believe the GT's have 1.4, and the GTX's use 1.2. I read that somewhere- might be true. of course you could google it- i would but mine already have the ram sinks installed. nobody Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 http://www.samsung.com/Products/Semiconduc.../K4J55323QG.htm http://www.samsung.com/Products/Semiconduc.../K4J55323QF.htm remember, GT's run the memory at 2.0v at stock clocks, really need to get the code off of the IC's to find out exactly what they are
red930 Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 If you want to check the memory rate on your video card, you have to take the cooler off and look at the last two digits from BJxx. That's where it usually say 1.x get it? This here is a 1.1ns memory.....look..... http://cimg2.163.com/catchpic/6/62/6262DFF...8291D66C3F4.jpg
p0tter Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I can confirm 1.4ns on the eVGA 7900GT KO. I can do 550/1600 with rthdribl running full screen (30mins). I will run more tests when I setup my rig in a case, uncomfortable running on the desk. Stock clocks are 520/
