How do I uninstall the karajan drivers?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I bought an x-fi xtrememusic soundcard today :shake: :shake:, which should be arriving on Monday, and I would like to uninstall my karajan audio module and the drivers it uses.

I know how to take the module off my mobo(which may or may not give problems when I try to pull it out), but I'm not sure where to find the drivers it uses to uninstall. I see there is a "nvmixer" when I go to start-->control panel-->Add or Remove Programs-->NvMixer. Is that all I have to uninstall to install my x-fi sound card? Or are there drivers somewhere else that I need to find and delete?

Any help will be greatly appreciated:p

Thank you

You probably need to go into the Bios and make sure ON-BOARD Audio is disabled. The drivers are straight forward, look for anything regarding that particular module, i'm not sure. Make sure you uninstall any drivers for that ON-BOARD Audio before you physically remove the device from the motherboard, okay?

Uninstall these drivers for your sound card....

AUD_RealTek A3751.exe

NVmixer (Sound application) probably uninstall it as well....

you should be able to go to the add/remove programs in the control panel , you may find there nvidia . if not look for realtek and hit remove.

its not nessary to remove the hardware just disable it in the bios.

but first the drivers, ;)

Hi guys:p

Thank you for your help!:P

The only thing I see in add and remove programs is nvmixer. I don't see A3751.exe, nor did I find it on my computer. Do you think nvmixer contains all the drivers installed to use the karajan module?

Thank you for your help guys :D l8r:p
