Sorrento Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Are you using a bridge to connect the the two pins from each speaker output on the Karajan module??? The ones that had a jumper and where you connected the front audio connector, if you remove this jumper and not replace it with some sort of bridge then the rear connector won't work. Pr3dator8 Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 hmmmm i took off the jumper coz the things for the front pannel needed to be plugged into where the jumpers where :S. if i take them out and put the jumpers on will the front ones still work? sorry new to this module never delt with it b4. Pr3dator8 Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 i guess my question really is what would be the configuration/is there one that would enable me to be able to use both front and back audio jacks?

More than once I have been able to work out a bridge from old case motherboard cables to make both work: like the HDD or Power led cables, with just 1" cable lenght I tied both ends together and aplied solder to make this connection solid and then inserted this newly created pin into the front panel audio connector, and connected the dual connector into the Karajan module. This way the two pins there are bridged and still connected to the front audio panel.
Pr3dator8 Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 so its not do-able with out modification? any chance u have a detailed walkthrough on that process? ooo and do u have an online diagram of which pin goes where on the module? just wonna test my setup against others

Sorrento Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 The HDD or Power cable led connector replace the jumper connecting both pins... this way the rear audio connectors keep working. Then connecting the front panel ones to the... hmm, I am not explaining myself well here The manual give accurate information on where to connect the speakers... the two most important connections are the ones replacing the two jumpers. Chaos_2k Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 I had the same problem. My front audio and the rear audio didnt work someday. It worked for 10 days or so, but then suddenly then i had no more sound. I reinstalled everything but that didnt help. I decided to throw out the front audio and reseated the jumpers and now back audio works. i dont know what was my problem...
