Guest cloud_171 Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 I am trying to sli 2x 7900gts and I moved the jumpers popped them both in with the sli bridge. Disabled SLI broadcast and both nvidia and device manager doesn't seem to be detecting it. Am I doing something wrong? Btw I have an SLI-DR now. MadChicago Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Is your BIOS seeing the cards as 8x - 8x lanes?
red930 Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 You'll need to set SLI through either the Bios or the Jumpers on the board (Not sure about the SLI-DR, though the other models like SLI-D, Ultra-D, NF4-D use jumpers to set SLI MODE on). Also if that doesn't work, please just install one card at a time.... Note: With that board (Ultra-D), you'll need to modify the chipset to enable "SLI" on that particular chipset because it doesn't support SLI unless you mod it. UPDATE your Sig, because i'm confused which motherboard you have....please.....
red930 Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 You'll need to buy a bridge if you have gotten the Ultra-D motherboard since that board doesn't come with one. Ask a DFI Rep. to send you a form for a Bridge Replacement which will cost you $18 i think. Read this below to understand how to mod ULTRA-D to SLI-D http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread...Ultra-d+sli+mod
