Want to put xp pro on the new drive, is there anything special i should know or how to make my sata master drive and install xp on it? red930 Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 There seems to be some issues with the SATA1+2 where SATA3+4 would need to be enabled to read any drive present on SATA1+2 (Sounds odd i know....maybe it's different for you....). You don't need any SATA drivers, Windows will load the installation just fine on your SATA drive, but you'll need to test your memory with the proper voltage and timings with Memtest86 that can be enabled in your bios if you look around good enough. Make sure you enable/disable what you need and don't need in the bios and set your boot sequence properly for the Windows CD-ROM to load by pressing the "any key" on keyboard. Good Luck.....
