Guest Retratserif Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 I have heard that people have had issues with some of the newer 7900 series video cards that come pre overclocked from fatory. How much truth is in this or does it just seem to be a few cards out of the normal 1/1000 that have issues and should be RMA'ed? I have the BFG 7900 Gt ready to go. I know it comes with a slight OC already on it. I do plan to go past that and find its limit under watercooled conditions. I was just wondering if there is anything to look out for or things that may go wrong because of the pre-oc from the BFG factory? red930 Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 I'm sure they've already fixed the current 7900 Series that come overclocked from factory by now. Just prepare yourself by reading everything we have in this forum from search to sticky's because that Expert can either play nice or the opposite. Good Luck! Starkey Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 ive seemed to have no problems with my factory OC 7900gt (XFX 7900gt `xxx`)
Guest Retratserif Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 So far, its not been nice. I am used to that in the bios, but not before I get there. A system not booting is a new one for me. As you guys say, two brand new products have alot of growing pains and its up to us to work out the differences manually via tweaking. I am very prepared for that.
