cronocrash Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Yeah, if you're having trouble while installing things it is very likely that your ram is not stable. If you're running it like that, expect more problems down the road.

nate.the.great Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 1. memtest for 8+ hours 2. prime95 for 8+ hours these boards are really picky. i got an OCZ powerstream and tweaked with RAM settings for a week before i could get memtest and prime95 for over 8 hours each. soul814 Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 i cant really test it cause I dont have the computer anymore, what I'm asking is if the RAM could be the problem >> RAM OCZ Performance Sticks 2x512. I just want to make sure that the RAM sticks arent the problem here.
Guest GripS Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 The RAM could be a problem. Regardless the power supply needs to be replaced. This is why I suggest replacing the PSU before further troubleshooting. I believe that RAM is OCZ's budget line which these boards don't particularly care for budget ram so I wouldn't be suprised if that ends up getting replaced as well.
