Nuclear Posted October 3, 2003 Posted October 3, 2003 thanks to help of you guys and all the info you've given me, my P4 2.8GHz is now running strong @ 2.95GHz with load temps of around 41C-42C. These temps are from the board, so I'm actually a good bit cooler. Thanks for the help

syneze Posted October 3, 2003 Posted October 3, 2003 uh yo you should be able to get wayyy more out of that
GmAz Posted October 3, 2003 Posted October 3, 2003 ya, 150 Mhz isn't that much. Plus, those temps mean either your cooling isn't seated correctly, your measurement is wrong, or you have one hot house. I have seen 2.4c chips at 3.0 ghz. Try with voltages, and maybe better cooling.
Nuclear Posted October 3, 2003 Posted October 3, 2003 Yeah, I know I can squeeze alot more out of it. This was just my first attempt. The temps seem high b/c I'm reading off the board, Abit boards always report higher temps. Some peeps have reported as much a 8-10 degree difference. wanksta Posted October 3, 2003 Posted October 3, 2003 tru dat, what is up with mobos not giving accurate temps? My Asus give temps 4-5 degrees lower. what the heck!!!!
Nuclear Posted October 4, 2003 Posted October 4, 2003 Just a little update: Now running @ 3.22GHz on a 230FSB. Temps are around 39C under load, and all this is on a stock voltage of 1.525v. I should be able to hit 3.4GHz pretty easy, maybe even on stock voltage.
