Dan42684 Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 I downloaded the Panda Antivirus 2005 titanium edition. Now when my computer starts up, it freezes up and sits there. MyHDD light is off, nothing is going on. I rebooted in safe mode and logged into my secondary sign in where all of my downloads are not accessed on. I went into control panel to remove software and it wont delete. Anyone experienced this that can help me out?

On search found a few files and 3 folders. down 2 1 folder and about 8 or more .dll files. Dan42684 Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 I'm guessing there's no way to delete these files.
Branjo Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 Do you have a system restore before you installed it?
Hawk454 Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 [edit]As a last resort only: You could always use a linux boot disk to get access to your SAM file in your windows/system/config folder. There is a default bare SAM file within the windows/repair directory that is useful for corrupted registries when you do not have a system restore point (backup as of a certain date). The SAM file is your system's history log for what drivers and patches to load upon startup. Having a Linux startup disk is very useful as well for logging in and changing passwords with the SAM file in the event you forget your login/passwords (or if you are borrowing someone else's computer). Drivers will have to be reinstalled if using the default SAM file. Or reinstall windows for the easy, no thought method. Drivers will still have to be reinstalled along with the rest of the software.
