Some_Guy_ Posted October 1, 2003 Posted October 1, 2003 ok, I'm a n00b to modding. Actually, I decided to do it last night, and started today. I taped off what I didn't want painted, but the tape let go and I have a little overspray on my front panel. The paint is an acrylic laquer (automotive stuff). Any ideas on how to get it off of there without damaging what I've already painted? I also don't want to do anything that'll discolor the plastic. Sainou-Kun Posted October 1, 2003 Posted October 1, 2003 Yeah, use that stuff works like a charm. Also be shure to use it on a cotton ball or Q-tip so you dont get it anywheres else.
Some_Guy_ Posted October 2, 2003 Posted October 2, 2003 Yeah, I figured so but I didn't know what it might do to the plastic. I thought about acetone (nail polish remover) but my wife only has this stuff that's blue, and I was afraid it might dye the plastic. I'm off to a class right now, I'll give it a shot later tonight or tomorrow.

Some_Guy_ Posted October 4, 2003 Posted October 4, 2003 Well, the crap plastic that the front panel is made of softens with paint thinner. It also softened slightly in a couple of spots where I painted it. I think I'm gonna try wet-sanding with 600 or 1000 grit and see what happens.
