Uncle_Mojo Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 The first thing I would do is lose that PSU. Get one from the recommended list.

I know he already has it. But that doesn't mean he has to keep it. I wouldn't run that PSU with the hardware he has under any circumstances. That's why I suggest he get one from the recommended list. SHEESH!
PsyCLown Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 OH, lol..oops. My bad, sorry! Never thought about that. Well what PSU do you think he should get then? Im thinking the OCZ Power Stream 520W PSU? What about you? We should suggest some PSU's if we tell him to upgrade his current PSU.
Uncle_Mojo Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Powerstreams are good (I use a 520 in one of my rigs) but there are others that will get the job done. As I said, he should look through the "recommended PSU' list here and choose one that fits his application and future plans. I would use one of these, if it was me: http://www.home2000.net/client/fspgroupusa...?linenumber=
PsyCLown Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Yeah, he probably doesnt need such an expensive PSU? Well he can use the link in my sig to go check out the reccomanded PSU list and the PSU calculator will also help.

Uncle_Mojo Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Really you think It wont work? I dont know man what am i suppose to do wait That would kill me. Hey, like I said, it's your stuff. Do what you like. I wouldn't do it. The PSU is the last thing you want to scrimp on. It's the foundation of the system. These forums are filled with people having problems that can be traced back to the PSU. If you don't wanna take my word for it, look here: http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showpost.p...074&postcount=1 You'll get a lot more help around here after you lose that Aspire PSU. Like I said, that would be the first thing I'd do. Good luck!
