Guest SuppA-SnipA Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Ya i could see the problem installing windows, so he'd have to just install off an IDE program.
AlienKing Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 I use the PX-716SA, and only had a slight hiccup with drivers at first. I had to reinstalled the nforce chipset drivers in order to burn CDs. It has been working perfect since. The PX-755SA is just a slightly faster version of the same drive, so it would probably work the as well. overcast Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 lol ok.. well why wouldnt it work tho? normal sata plug.. Because there are many instances in which those SATA cdroms do not work with specific mobos and cause many problems.
EdLSmith Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Because there are many instances in which those SATA cdroms do not work with specific mobos and cause many problems. Most all of those problems have been worked out. Just keep your firmware up to date and it should be fine. I've been using the 716SA since inception and I wouldn't have it any other way.
