Please Help Asus Pt4533r Mobo Overclock

Im trying to overclock my asus pt4533r mobo but when i go into my bios the multiplyier and v-core are locked ,isee them but cant use them??asus tech support said they wont tell me how to unlock them!,.,...well can i overclock manually on the board without problem?? please help..Rob

 

 

mt system specs :

asus pt4533r mobo w/ p-4 2.4 (liquid cooled)

1gb RD ram (air cooled)

2-wd 7200rpm hd's w raid

ge force 4 ti 4200 video card(air cooled)

No such board listed at ASUS site....or anywhere on Google for that matter.... but if it is a P4 (Intel) then the multiplier is now and always will be locked.....

cannot be unlocked on an Intel...

 

as for the vCore... depends on the BIOS... some BIOS' allow it others do not

you could. but reading you manual will tell you how to oc that thing exactly. asus boards are as a general rule good overclockers.

 

and NO you can't unlock the multiplier on a P4 unless you plan on dismembering your cpu and playing with a microscope and soldering some TINY stuff backtogether without causing damage to other stuff in the processs (tried it with a fcpga celeron... TOAST is it's new name)

Abosolutely no pentiums have flexible multipliers these days. On my asus boards all being p4pe's it acually promotes overclock lol. the box says 1mhz stepping overclocking so yea all i had to do was set my cpu speed section to manual then the fsb unlocked and vcore set to manual unlocked vcore settings.
