berto Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 I have currently Windows 2000 and XP installed on my system. In XP the sound card works perfectly, but in windows 2000, i cant get any audio, and it tells me when i press the volume or mute keys, that there is no sound card installed. Ive reinstalled the drivers, and its still the same way. Does anyone know of this problem, or how to correct it?
O(V)eGA_l2el) Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 I wouldnt have Windows 2000 and XP dual booting on the same system..use XP only on that system...but that is my opinion. Are you using the drivers that came with the SB Live disk or the most recent drivers? Right click My Computer-->Hardware-->Device Manager-->Sound and check to see if your sound card is detected. bigred Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 my opinion. Screw the SBLive's stock drivers... updated or not. go download the KX audio drivers for it. I had some major problems with my audigy, but they were fixed by the KX drivers.
