LobbDogg Posted September 28, 2003 Posted September 28, 2003 yeah whats your CPU? Some CPUs will just not handle up to 200mhz. Its just kind of the luck of the draw. But if you give us some more details we can help you out. Also what temps are you getting and with what cooling?
GmAz Posted September 28, 2003 Posted September 28, 2003 (edited) For starters, you must start in small increments. Maybe 5Mhz at a time max. I know its slow, but will work. Also, did you change yoru voltages any? if not, then you might not be supplying your ram enough "juice". I have my voltage set to the highest setting it can go. I think its either 2.8 or 1.8. I think 2.8. Also, you have to lock your AGP bus at 66Mhz or you might fry your video card. Next, try to up your multiplier also. Only the new 3200+ and I think 3000+ can handle 200FSB. Mine is a 2500+ Barton and can only do 199FSB. at 200FSB, it crashes. my stock multiplier is 11, i have it at 12, soon to try stuff with 12.5 so I can get more out of it with less FSB. But dude, you have to go slower on your FSB. You can't just go from 166 to 200 in one step. FanATIc205 Posted September 28, 2003 Posted September 28, 2003 also what type of cooler do you use. and i had to set cpu interface to aggressive on my a7n8x to get certain multis to work. for me to even use 12.5 or 10.5 i have to set the fsb to 133 then when it post go back and set the fsb to 200 or what ever you want to use
