red930 Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 6 drives, offset though in the cages. There's space for 12 so I have an empty slot between each so air can get across each one.

Voltes-5 Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 You guys are insane with all that HD's, LOL, he he he he! Is it an advantage as far as gaming to have more HD's or just for storage porpuses.? On my sig, just one, and on my SLI-DR a pair of maxtor on RAID.
red930 Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 Using more than 2 HD's is primarly for storage but for gaming it would be nice running 2 harddrive in Raid0. I just have one 74GB Raptor, plenty enough for me.

twigert Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 When my system was running i was using 2 sata drives,1 uata hd,1 regular cd-rom, and my dvd burner. I plan on using all of the 8 sata ports when i get my new board and my kandalf case. I'm thinking of just getting 2x36gb 10krpm raptors, and multiple 300's or 400+gb drives to fill up the last 4 ports. I'm someone who has a GRIP of media and loves collecting songs and other stuff. Lets just say it'll take about 2 60gb ipods just to fit all my mp3s.. lol. My mid tower only supports 6 Hd's.
