Kicking around some retro fit/re-location kits and trying to get an idea of how many drive bays you actually use...

Are you speaking of all the drives I run in one computer, or all computers combined?

Primary system: 2 x 80Gb and 1 x 120Gb.

Secondary system: 2 x 36Gb @ 10,000rpm, 2 x 74Gb @ 10,000rpm, 2 x 74Gb @ 15,000rpm

Server: 4 x 74Gb @ 10,000rpm in RAID 0+1

All totaled: 13 drives.

When my system was running i was using 2 sata drives,1 uata hd,1 regular cd-rom, and my dvd burner. I plan on using all of the 8 sata ports when i get my new board and my kandalf case. I'm thinking of just getting 2x36gb 10krpm raptors, and multiple 300's or 400+gb drives to fill up the last 4 ports. I'm someone who has a GRIP of media and loves collecting songs and other stuff. Lets just say it'll take about 2 60gb ipods just to fit all my mp3s.. lol. My mid tower only supports 6 Hd's.
