RAID 1 Guide?

Recommended Posts

Is ther a guide around for setting up RAID 1? My warranty replacement drive came back from Seagate, so I'd like to install it and set it up for RAID 1. I assume it's a matter of enabling it in BIOS and making sure the drivers are installed? I'm also thinking the mirrored drive will be built once the computer is restarted?

I've never done RAID before, so I'm looking for help.

There are Nvraid manuals at DFI website > download > manuals. Get the one for your board.

Hmm...all references point to a fresh install of Windows. Is there a way to setup RAID 1 without a format of the boot drive and a reinstall of windows?

Don't feel like being a trailblazer huh!?!

I was hoping someone would document the steps myself.

With RAID 1, possibly. Check the options when you are configuring the array. Maybe it will give you an option to mirror an existing drive?
