Scott P Posted April 10, 2006 Is ther a guide around for setting up RAID 1? My warranty replacement drive came back from Seagate, so I'd like to install it and set it up for RAID 1. I assume it's a matter of enabling it in BIOS and making sure the drivers are installed? I'm also thinking the mirrored drive will be built once the computer is restarted? I've never done RAID before, so I'm looking for help.

Scott P Posted April 12, 2006 Hmm...all references point to a fresh install of Windows. Is there a way to setup RAID 1 without a format of the boot drive and a reinstall of windows?

Lunchbox Posted April 12, 2006 With RAID 1, possibly. Check the options when you are configuring the array. Maybe it will give you an option to mirror an existing drive?
Angry_Games Posted April 12, 2006 lol you follow my RAID-0 guide, except you mirror them in RAID-1 instead... pretty simple really...
