Does anybody know where I can find info on how many Watts a non oc'd readon 9700 produces. I was getting some artifacts (white dots on solad serfaces) and strange lighting effects while playing jedi academy. see screenshot. sould this be heat releated. the card has a ZALMAN VGA HEATPIPE COOLER ZM80A-HP on it.

note the distrotion center cereen and the blueish spot just above that.

I don't see anything wrong with those pictures at all.. Perhaps you are seeing artifacts on the screenshots that we don't see? Or.. I just have an untrained eye for this kinda of thing. Can you try to explaine xactly where these artifacts are?

If you want to put a pelt on their, you dont need anything more then a mere 75 watt pelt.. I would not go over 85..

the problem you will encounter with a pelt..

it will need some kind of cooling for it.. normally u need a big heatsink w/ a fan..

and your video card is not going to support all of that weight unless you go water cooling..

also.. when it comes to OCing a video card.. its not just the core u need to keep cool.. the ram is also a huge factor..

so you would have to build your own copper plate.. one that coverd the GPU and the ram.. and the put ur pelt in the middle of this..

and to have the pelt cool that large of an area, you will want to go with an 85 watt pelt..

and keeping the pelt cool.. I dont know.. you may have to do water cooling unless you can find a powerful yet light heatsink w/ fan.

and even then u may have to stand something up under the video card to keep if from breaking.. or bending down..

too keep the cold plate on artic silver makes a nice adheasive/ epoxy.. I would go with that.. and if u get rid of that zalman.. give it to me! lol.. Ive been wanting one for a very long time lol..

you remmeber that eh?

I almost snaped the card in half with that big arse heatsink.. I put a stick under it.. to hold the card up.. and I took it to a lanparty.. and when i turned it on.. I had no picture.. I was like.. OMG..

Iopend the case.. and the card basicly fell out.. the small peice of wood must came out.. and luckly the card just came out of the slot instead of breaking.. thank god.. cuz it was the best card I have ever bought.. and still have lol..

I cant afford anything new lol.. and im not going to use the Geforce 3 ti200 w/ the 128 ram.. and the only other card I got is the GF4 MX440 pleh...
