Kakarot Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 take sound card out and try again? Run windows repair of the cdrom, wont affect anything BUT the windows dir... works like a charm. You would still have all your emails, programs etc.
c0nfused Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Did you install Windows before or after the overclock? You could have corrupted the data on your HD with the overclock. Though I would remove the sound card and try see if it works first.
red930 Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Try these suggestions and if the sound card is the issue, RMA it for a refund and shoot for the X-FI ExtremeMusic which is around $110. Did you install RAID drivers on your OS? Are you even running an Array on your two harddrives or just regular?
deeselcyde Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Yeah i am running RAID0, and i started overclocked after the install. but it was not severe overclocking, i was just tinkering with the RAM. For the windows repair, do i do that process through dos, or do i go about it like im installing windows and repair the partition? deeselcyde Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Okay guys, well, i reinstalled....AGAIN! And everything is running smooth I am not overclocking my RAM at all, my cpu from 2400 to 2500(nothing). And i turn my comp off to clean up wires, then i turn on, and the windows bar keeps going back and forth........ Is there anyway my motherboard could be the problem? I really am lost, my step dad who has an ultra-d told me that this his board is the squirlyist board that he has ever had, but the best overlcocker. He is looking at mine and he says that with mine you have no idea what its going to do and its really unpredictable. I have gone through every setting and nothing seems to work.
