Guest striker Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 I am getting rounding errors on core0 instantly when running p95 above 2.4ghz, while core1 is fine. i have tried various vcore's up to 1.5volt, running a heavy divider, relaxed timings, etc. any idea's??? raise the ldt voltage more? it's at 1.2 right now, but raising it didn't seem to help. any idea's?? Another odd thing is I can't get my ram to do cas2.5. i have read the tccd guides and they state that 2.5-3-3-7 is the way to go. i cannot pass any tests at 2.5-3-3-7 above 230mhz (about there). i run 2-3-3-7 to about 235 stable, but i can't take the ram above that. 3-4-4-8 also doesn't yield anything good. NeilSouth Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 You probably have a weak core 0 , such is life... i have a weak core 0 on my 3800 x2 yet my core 1 is strong and can do 2.8 however core 0 is stuck max 2.
twivel Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 If you're doing prime95 custom tests, the very first test is large FFT, so don't rule out RAM. I know that you tested your RAM max, but that was at 1:01 I'm sure -- what happens when you drop your divider to 1/2? Try 2-3 different low dividers because people have different results on different dividers with DFI boards.
