On different e-store I have found different stepping : CCBWE 0550UPMW CCBWE 0551UPMW CCBWE 0530 TPMW So if there a difference between this 3 stepping and what is the best (to reach the 3 Ghz) Thanks ! red930 Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 I believe the 0530 is still regarded as the best, though they're all about the same as far as I know, check out the dual core opteron thread. Ookkeri Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Got my Opty 170 today. Its CCB1E 0609 FPAW. It goes 2.85Ghz with stock voltage (1.35v) and air cooling. So i think thats not bad stepping either... Ookkeri Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 Helluva nice chip if it is stable at those speeds/volts... It seemed to be rock stable at 2.85 at stock volts. At 2.9 2nd core crashed prime after few minutes. Volt increase solved that.... Gona do longer prime today, i post result here.
