Kakarot Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Most companies don't know if they will get these super clocked cards in stock. So, should I wait or just get the regular version and overclock it! Thx
red930 Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Get the standard, mine easily went up and over the superclocked variety. Of course you'll want to ensure decent airflow and you might want to throw some ceramique or as5 on the core/memory. I have yet to try that, but I'm in no hurry. red930 Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 I think all 7900GT are overclockable over "Superclock" speeds, dont' waste that extra money. Just buy a regular 7900GT and overclock it with Coolbits and also make sure you set your fan speeds to max or get the VF900 which should help ALOT. Guest Timmay Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 http://forums.overclockers.com.au/showthread.php?t=461469 Get ready for 11 pages. :-P Indeed it is voltmodded, but (NEW ZEALAND DOLLARS) $550 for a 79GT or 11-12 hundred for a 79GTX, And the 79GT can hit around 6K on 3D06 what am I going to chose.
