multi hd boot priority, select where to put mbr?

Recommended Posts

I installed the second harddisk i had in my system, so now i have one SATA and one IDE harddisks, with the SATA set as the default one to boot from.

i saw that with the Boot menu (ESC on boot) i can choose to boot from the other harddisk, which means it can load the MBR from that hard disk in case it exists.

so if i want to install a second OS (linux, or an older windows over the current one without messing up ntldr), how can i tell it to install the MBR on the second harddisk?

anyway, is it possible to do so? press, ESC, choose the other HD and boot from it?
