What is the big difference between these two boards?

I've used DFI for about 3 years, but haven't kept up much on new models over the last year. Thanks in advance.

They will both support this chip, correct?

are they basically plug and play like IDE drives? that's my main concern, is that I'll have to spend a bunch of time setting them up instead of just plugging the IDE in and formating.

Is there a n00b guide to SATA set up for a non-raid configuration?

first off, ide does have 16mb cache...

ultra133=133mb transfer rate

sata=150mb transfer rate

and as for you. its easy. its like ide--- plug in the cables to the hdd.. no jumpers required for sata drives. sata is plug and play.
