If you prefer overclock headroom over low latencies than yes....that is a very good kit...of course by running that memory at DDR500mhz you sacrifice latencies a bit...they are 3.4.4.8 at that speed if I'm not mistaken

First - PLEASE FILL OUT YOUR SIG. WITH YOUR EQUIPMENT.

How can anyone really help you if we don't even know what were dealing with?

Assuming you have an Expert board...

I think "good", but esp. for that price better for less:

see Newegg link here.

Gold EL Timing: 3-4-3-8 Price: $179.82 after $30.00 MIR

RGone has recomended:

Platinum Edition EB 2GB Timing: 3-3-2-8 Price $250.98 after $30.00 MIR

Others may have better sugestions.

Floppy,

Do yourself a huge favor and get a real PSU. Thermaltake PSU's are on the do not buy list. I promise you'll save yourself a few headaches down the road if you do this now while ordering your new ram.

Thermaltake Silent Purepower 460W PsU, Active PFC, 20/24pin

DFI Recpmmended PSU's

I have experience with both the OCZ's and the Fortrons. They're both exceptional PSU's and both very stable. If cash is a concern, go with the Fortron, if not, OCZ.

No direct experience but I have the OCZ Gold XTC PC3200 2 x 1GB kit.

Runs @ 234MHz (DDR468) @ 2.5-3-3-7. SiSoft Ram test around 6500/6250. At work right now and cannot remember exactly.

Good luck. $40 rebate on this RAM at zipzoomfly right now.
